Little Movers are our 1-5-year-old children who have big ambitions. For us older kids, it's a small step, but for our little ones, it's a giant leap.

Little Movers consists of three separate class categories that help them grow and prepare for the Move Monkeys program. It's essential to remember that children in this age group learn at their own pace.

While we have age suggestions, we're flexible to meet each child's needs.

At different stages of their development, students have opportunities to be leaders or followers, depending on their own growth journey. We embrace this individuality, as it's common for students to be grouped within a single year of birth in most classrooms.

Our Blueberries are beginning to discover their love for movement and music while learning to interact with others. In these classes, we focus on classroom etiquette, listening skills, taking turns, and social interaction beyond the family circle.

We introduce students to body parts and their functions and lay the foundation for major muscle movements like marching, tiptoeing, and jumping. Building strength and flexibility is a crucial part of their development.

Through core and strength-building exercises, we engage their minds and emotions, encouraging them to use their big muscles actively. Props add a fun, exploratory dimension to our dances, stimulating various senses.

Just like learning the alphabet, dance benefits from repetition, boosting children's confidence and a sense of accomplishment. Each term, we reinforce skills, allowing them to shine in our fun and engaging classes.

Our Mangoes are growing independent, ready for school, and developing classroom and social skills. In class, we reinforce rules, encourage good choices, and foster social development through fun and rewarding activities.

We explore body parts, enhance movement abilities, build muscle memory and strength, and instill the belief that trying new things is a valuable skill. We focus on core and strength-building exercises while promoting creativity in free movement.

Repetition builds confidence and accomplishment, just like in dance. Each term, we teach 3-4 different dances and introduce new techniques. Mangoes are also introduced to performing, boosting their confidence and showcasing their skills.

Our Strawberries are the big kids in the Little Movers universe! They've grown confident in the classroom, can communicate effectively, and are well-versed in the Little Movers processes. Now, we delve into more challenging concepts to prepare them for the exciting transition to MOVE MONKEYS, the class for our older kids.

In these classes, we balance the importance of doing things correctly with the sheer joy of learning. We explore what our bodies are truly capable of when we focus and control our movements. We differentiate between high-energy and calm, controlled movements, and we enhance actions that may initially seem tricky. Our goal is to foster true independence in the classroom, recalling techniques, applying corrections, pushing limits, and expanding abilities.

We emphasize core strength, flexibility, and the use of both big and small muscles. Props add a playful element, encouraging exploratory movement and stimulating various senses. In addition, we nurture their creativity through free movement and challenge them with choreography that they can perform independently, without teacher assistance.

Similar to learning the alphabet, dance benefits from repetition, boosting children's confidence and a sense of accomplishment. Each term, we introduce 3-4 different dances and 1-2 new techniques. Strawberries also have opportunities to perform, whether in their final class for parents and friends or on stage, further building confidence and showcasing their achievements.
